The CPN-Maoist Centre has decided to dissolve its headquarters, which was the most powerful organisational body in the party,
Party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal says the Secretariat will be the strongest body in the party organisation now.
A Central Office meeting of the party held on Sunday made the decision to dissolve the 35-member headquarters, Bhusal says.
Now, the 99-member Secretariat has been made the executive body of the party as the party had earlier decided to limit the number of members in the central committee to two digits.
Earlier, the party has a 4,000-member Central Committee.
