Kathmandu, July 24
Traffic police in Kathmandu have started mobilising two surveillance vehicles to monitor rule violations on major roads of the city.
Each of the vans have four pan-till-zoom (PTZ) cameras, laptop, LED monitor and internet connection.
Traffic Police Inspector Rambabu Rana says the vans will be mobilised around busy roads of Kathmandu for monitoring.
“Currently, the lane discipline violators say they have not breached the rule,” he says, “But now, we can take action against them by showing evidence.”
Meanwhile, traffic police say the vans also have first aid kits so that they can be mobilised for first aid after traffic accidents if need be.
