Nepal Covid-19 tally: 8,605 PCR, 54 antigen new cases and 58 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 5

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 359,610 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry says 8,605 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 20,756 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 558,051 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 616 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 54 were found infected.

As of today, 66,410 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 1,993 people have achieved recovery whereas 58 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 289,783 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,475 died, according to the ministry.

Over 250 are quarantined across the country.
