Nepal Covid-19 tally: 338 new cases, 140 recoveries, four deaths in past 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 23,310 as of Monday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 338 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. Of them, 43 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 8,432 swab samples were tested. So far, 452,236 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 16,493 people have achieved recovery whereas 79 died, according to him. In the past 24 hours, 140 people have been discharged whereas four deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 70 per cent.

The other 6,738 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Parsa, Rautahat, Mahottari, and Kathmandu have more than 500 active cases each. Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 10,700 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
