India gifts 200 kidney dialysis machines to Nepal

Kathmandu, February 20

The Indian government has gifted 200 kidney dialysis machines to the Nepal government.

Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava handed over the machines to Health and Population Minister Padam Giri amid a function at the ministry on Monday.

Nepal requested India to provide the machines last year.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Giri thanked the government of India for the continuous support in Nepal, in particular in the public health sector, adding he was willing to cooperate with India in the future also.

In response, Ambassador Srivastava said his government would continue helping Nepal’s health sector grow.
