Nepalgunj, June 22
CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the republican system would be pushed into jeopardy if the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML won local level elections.
Addressing a mass meeting organised by his party in the run-up to the second phase of local level elections in Khajura of Banke district today, Dahal said his party had sowed the seed of republicanism in the country, hence it should enjoy the fruits.
“The change is institutionalised only if the Maoist party is stronger,” Dahal said.
During his speech, the immediate past prime minister had also discussed achievements made by his government including a sharp rise in the economic growth and an end of load shedding.
