Kathmandu, June 22
Former General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association Lok Bahadur Shahi has been arrested on Thursday for his alleged involvement in defrauding foreign employment aspirants.
Also the Chairman of Nepal Ice Hockey Association, Shahi is accused of swindling various people assuring to take them to Canada. It has been learned that he had taken Rs 500,000-Rs 700,000 from each person.
A team deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division had arrested him this afternoon.
As many as 25 persons had filed complaints against him, according to the MCD Chief SSP Dinesh Amatya.
Shahi is also the former goalkeeper of Nepal national football team.
