Two persons have been arrested for their involvement in foreign employment fraud. They lured people with promises of foreign employment and conned Rs 1.7 million out of job aspirants.
The central police newsroom informed that those arrested by the police were Nawin Lama, 37, from Mandandeupur Municipality-12, Kavrepalanchowk, and Ramesh Reule, 50, from Sharada Municipality-2, Salyan. Nawin had duped three people of Rs 1.4 million with false assurance of a lucrative job in Malaysia, and Ramesh managed to con Rs 300 thousand out of a person with the lure of a job in the US.
Ramesh and Nawin had been out of contact since defrauding the people. The police team mobilised by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended the fraudsters on Friday.
