The CIAA has presented Chudamani Sharma, the suspended tax chief accused of embezzling billions of rupees, before the Supreme Court.
While a case against Sharma has been registered at the Special Court, he was brought to the Supreme Court on Friday morning for a hearing on a habeas corpus petition filed by his wife.
The anti-corruption body has accused three people, including Sharma, of embezzling Rs 11 billion when they were part of a government commission setup to resolve tax issues of large corporations.
The CIAA has already presented a charge sheet in the case before the Special Court on Thursday.
