Oli advisor: No cabinet reshuffle, at least not until budget is presented

Kathmandu, March 28

The Prime Minister is not in the mood to reshuffle his cabinet, at least until his government presents its budget in Parliament, says a key advisor to PM Oli.

In an interview with Onlinekhabar, Rajan Bhattarai, who is also a NCP leader, said that the Prime Minister might fill the vacant ministerial position at the Tourism Ministry, but that too will happen if he feels the need to do so. “The government will focus on its policies and programmes for the new fiscal, immediately after the Investment Summit concludes,” says Bhattarai.  “This is a time for us to institutionalise reforms we introduced and start new projects. That is why the need to reshuffle the cabinet has not been felt,” he added.

Bhattarai admitted that senior leaders of the party were talking about a reshuffle, but it is not likely to take place any time soon.
