The Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal led by Upendra Yadav on Sunday has demanded that the government amend the constitution amendment bill, currently stuck in Parliament, before endorsing it.

While the ruling parties are preparing to push the bill to voting with a hope that parties supporting the government including the FSF-N will vote for it, the FSF-N says the bill in its current form will not be sufficient to address its concerns.

A meeting of the party’s officials, however, concluded that there was no option to the amendment in order to address demands of Madhesh-centric parties and to solve current political problems facing the country.

It demanded that the government amend the proposal on the basis of a 26-point proposal submitted by the Madheshi Morcha and the Federal Alliance.
