RJPN won’t accept decision to postpone Province 2 polls: Raj Kishor Yadav

RJPN leader Raj Kishor Yadav

Janakpur, June 16

A member of the presidium of the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, Raj Kishor Yadav, has said his party will not accept the government decision to postpone local level elections in Province 2.

The government on Thursday had decided to defer the polls till September 18 in a bid to convince the agitating RJPN for the elections.

The decision was made after a meeting between top leaders of ruling parties and the RJPN.

But, Yadav says the RJPN was not consulted for the decision.

Meanwhile, he even accuses the government of deferring the polls with an intention to spoil the RJPN agitation.

Stressing that the party will not join the polls till constitution amendment, Yadav says, “The government made this decision according to its plan to accuse the RJPN as an anti-election force and fragment its protests.”
