At NTB, glimpses of Hagen’s good old Nepal

Kathmandu, February 5

There’s good news for people, who want to see how Nepal looked like in good old days, especially from 1950 to 1980. At Nepal Tourism Board in Bhrikuti Mandap, an exhibition of photographs dating to that era has begun. The photos are the works of Swiss geologist Tony Hagen.

Through this exhibition, the board aims to promote Nepal’s tourism industry. According to NTB’s Sudan Subedi, they exhibit the works of photographers offering glimpses of Nepal on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every month of the Christian calendar.

Hagen had traversed 14,000 km in Nepal on foot, clicking scenic photos during his journey.

The exhibition is on from 5 to 7 February, 11.30am to 4pm, Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikuti Mandap.
