Kathmandu, June 2
The government planned a three-day orientation training for newly elected chiefs and deputy chiefs of rural municipalities, municipalities, sub-metropolitan cities and metropolitan cities.
The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has already scheduled the training and informed the local bodies about the event.
Issues about governance and management will be discussed during the training.
The new leaders will be informed about their rights, roles and responsibilities of the leadership. Likewise, they will get insights about possible problems they will face during the performance and ways to solve them.
Leaders of Province 3 will get the training on June 8-10 in Dhulikhel of Kavre. Likewise, people’s representatives of Province 4 will gather in Pokhara of Kaski from June 13 to 15 for the event.
A similar event will be organised in Birendranagar of Surkhet on June 18-20 for leaders of Province 6.
