Kathmandu, March 27

Proposals filed by investors during the upcoming Nepal Investment Summit will be reivewed and processed within two months, officials say.

Investment Board on Nepal CEO Maha Prasad Adhikari, who was addressing a press conference on the eve of the summit, said that investors concerned will know whether their proposal has been approved or not within two months.

He informed that investors who wish to present proposals will be given 20 days to prepare. During the two months, the board will look at the proposal and asses whether the investor is capable of delivering or not. Adhikari said that if more than one investor is interested in the same project, the board will evaluate all proposals and decide whom to award the project.

“We are planning to process all proposals received during and after the summit by May this year,” CEO Adhikari said.
