Nepal Covid-19 tally: 416 new cases, 270 recoveries, 1 death in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 15

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 912,469 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry said 416 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 7,554 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 367 returned positive. Likewise, 4,848 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 49 tested positive.

Of total tests, 5.50 per cent of the PCR and 1.01 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.35 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,311 active cases across the country. Of them, 532 are hospitalised, 225 in intensive care units and 66 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 270 people have achieved recovery whereas one death was reported.

Of the total cases so far, 798,544 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,478 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 74,452 people were vaccinated today.
