Minister for Home Affairs Janardan Sharma has warned of action against immigration officials if they are found involved in anti-nationalist activities.

Claiming that he has been tipped off about some misconducts at the Department of Immigration, Sharma says he will not tolerate them.

He says an investigation will be launched on reports he has received and an appropriate decision will be taken soon.

While launching the Nepal Immigration mobile app today, Sharma said, “Information I received might be wrong, but if they are true, those doing wrong should be prepared to face action.”

“This is not a warning,” he maintained, “But, I am clearly telling you so that it will be easy. I am not a good person for people who act against the national and its people.”

“We should be loyal to our nation. If anyone betrays the nation for some vested interests,” he warned, “It will not be forgivable.”

On the occasion, the Minister also directed officials to improve the Department’s services.
