Dadeldhura, August 21
The Sudurpaschim provincial government has announced a public holiday for this Friday, August 23, on the occasion of Gaura Parva, an annual Hindu festival celebrated in the region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law made the announcement in a statement issued to extend greetings to the public on the occasion of the festival.
Offices under the provincial government will remain closed in Kailali, Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Darchula, Doti, Achham and Bajura districts on that day.
Whereas the central government trimmed the holiday list last year, some provinces have been announcing holidays on different festivals.
