Kathmandu, June 12
Notorious serial killer Charles Sobhraj from France, currently doing his time at a Kathmandu jail, underwent a heart surgery at the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre here.
His surgeon Dr Raamesh Koirala has posted a photo of the notorious criminal on his Twitter account, saying he is recovering gradually after the surgery.
Earlier, Sobhraj had expressed doubts over the success of the operation, saying “The risk factor of an open heart surgery in Nepal is higher than France.”
After the surgery, Sobhraj plans to appeal for an early release and go back to Paris.
