Kathmandu, October 10
The Kalikot District Administration Office says 13 people attending a funeral in Ranchuli, Tilagupha municipality-4 in the district have gone missing.
As the deceased’s body was being burned, a landslide caved in, the attendants ran here and there, and 13 went missing, informs Chief District Officer Ram Hari Sharma.
Meanwhile, some 100 families are at risk of the landslide there and some have sought refuge at a school, according to him.
Officials are preparing to mobilise a helicopter to rescue them after the weather clears, he says.
