Gulmi, September 22
Three members of the same family died after being buried by a landslide in Khanigaun, Resunga municipality-8 of the Gulmi district in Lumbini on Tuesday night.
The victims have been identified as Bhawana Pariyar (21), Ganga Pariyar (14), and Jamuna Pariyar (14), informs DSP Purushottam Prasad Pandey of the District Police Office.
The sisters of the same family were sleeping in the same room when a landslide buried their one-storey house, according to police. The victims’ parents and another sister are safe.
The bodies were dug out of the landslide at around 4:30 am today and taken to the Gulmi Hospital in Tamghas for necessary examinations.
The DPO chief Gopal Chandra Bhattarai had reached the incident site at around 2 am after being informed of the incident.
