Cricketer Minash Thapa dies in motorcycle accident in Biratnagar

Kathmandu, December 25

Cricketer Minash Thapa has died in a motorcycle accident. The 27-year-old Thapa lost his life on Thursday morning on an inner road section in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4. He was regarded as one of the promising cricket players of Koshi Province.

The accident occurred at around 12:45 am while Thapa was riding a motorcycle, Province 1-02-042 Pa 8002, from the Biratnagar Airport Line toward Ganesh Chowk. The motorcycle went out of control and crashed.

Seriously injured in the accident, Thapa was rushed to Koshi Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead, police informed.

Thapa had previously played in the Pokhara Premier League for Biratnagar Kings. He had also participated in other franchise leagues representing Koshi Province.
