Sajha Yatayar Cooperative has added 20 more buses to its fleet for Kathmandu Valley. The new buses have been bought with the support of Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities.

Kathmandu and Lalitpur city governments have invested Rs 50 million and Rs 10 million respectively to purchase the buses.

The news buses are said to be disabled friendly, and are of Euro 4 standard. Wheelchair users can take their wheelchairs inside the vehicle through the rear door.

The cooperative’s Executive Officer Bhushan Tuladhar says the buses will begin plying the road within a next few days.

The cooperative will prioritise its old routes for the new buses. However, new routes can also be taken if there is necessity, according to him.

Meanwhile, Sajha says it will soon buy some electric buses.
