Butwal, April 7
Members of the Province 5 Assembly on Sunday decided to donate their one day’s pay to survivors of a disastrous storm in Bara and Parsa districts of Province 2.
Total 28 persons had died whereas thousands were affected due to the storm in the districts last Sunday.
A meeting of the Assembly held in Butwal on Sunday endorsed a proposal about the donation. The Province 5 government has already made a decision to extend support to the survivors separately.
Other provincial governments have also announced their support.
There are 87 members in the Assembly and each earns Rs 45,000 a month. It means each with contribute Rs 1,500, and Rs 130,000 in total.
