Pokhara, March 30
One person died whereas another one sustained injuries in a truck hit in Pokhara of Kaski in the wee hours of Wednesday.
A truck (Na 6 Kha 4725) had hit a scooter (Ga 14 Pa 6598) at the Sabha Griha Chok, Pokhara-8 at around 4 am, killing the scooter rider Anjana Paija (16), a resident of Nayagaun, Pokhara-15.
Seriously injured in the accident, she breathed her last during treatment at the Gandaki Medical College, informs DSP Sundar Tiwari, the spokesperson of the Kaski District Police Office.
Meanwhile, Mina Gurung (18), a resident of Ghalechok, Pokhara-10, who was riding on the pillion on the two-wheeler, has sustained injuries. She is undergoing treatment at the same health facility.
Police have impounded the truck and arrested the truck driver for further investigation.
