Nepal international cricketer Mehboob Alam will play for the Singapore Emerging Stars in the SCC International Twenty20 Cricket Tournament to be held in Singapore in August this year.

The Singaporean club say Alam is the first international player to be hired by them.

The Nepali player is a Guinness World Records holder for single-handedly bowling out the opponents’ team in 2008.

He had picked up 10 wickets for 12 runs in 7.5 overs, bundling out Mozambique for 19 runs in the ICC World Cricket League Division Five that year.

In a recent match against Kenya, he had returned to the field after two years and guided Nepal to a big with against the opponents at home.

The 36-year-old player is one of the most senior members of Nepal cricket team currently.

The SCC International Twenty20 Cricket Tournament will be held from August 11 to 13.
