Kathmandu, June 20
The Election Commission on Tuesday is distributing election symbols to candidates registered for the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
The candidates had filed their nominations on Sunday.
Before distributing the symbols, the candidates can withdraw their names if they choose not to contest the polls.
The Commission has given three hours from 8 to 11 am today for the withdrawal.
Likewise, the Commission will publish the final list of candidates from 11 to 11:30 am today before distributing the election symbols.
Total 334 local units of provinces 1, 5 and 7 go to polls next week.
