Five offices set up in Kathmandu for nominations

Kathmandu, November 2

The Election Commission has set up five offices to file nominations for provincial and federal parliamentary elections in Kathmandu district.

Kathmandu has the highest number of constituencies among 77 districts across the country. It has 10 federal and 20 provincial constituencies.

Nominations for federal constituencies 1, 2, 3 and 4 and eight provincial constituencies within these constituencies will be filed at the Rastriya Sabhagriha.

Likewise, another office has been set up for constituencies 5 and 7 at Thapagaun-based Pancheshwor Multipurpose Project Office.

Nominations for Constituency 6 will be filed at Babarmahal-based District Coordination Committee Office and for Constituency 8 at Babarmahal-based Department of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management.

Candidates contesting the polls in constituencies 9 and 10 have to go to the International Convention Centre, Naya Baneshwor for nominations.
