Don’t engage in politics during office hours, Minister tells government employees

Minister for General Administration Keshav Kumar Budhathoki said on Wednesday he will neither engage in politics nor let government employees do so during office hours.

Neither I will do politics during office hours nor will I let government employees do so 

Budhathoki, speaking at a Reporters’ Club’s face-to-face, said: There’s politics in every sector, but we should stay away from politics during working hours. I myself will not do politics during office hours. Employees should also think about this.

He called on employees not to engage in political activities during office hours.

Minister Budhathoki said he is studying reports about administrtative reforms, pledging to put right person in right place during administrative restructuring.

Responding to a question about the probability of starting morning shift in government offices, Budhathoki said he will take an appropriate decision after observing its efficacy.

Asked whether he will reduce the number of public holidays, Budhathoki said he has not thought about it as yet.
