Kathmandu, June 28

The government of Nepal has waived the requirement of a 10-day hotel quarantine rule for Nepalis and foreigners coming to the country from any foreign country if they have received all doses of any Covid-19 vaccine.

The vaccine recipients, however, still need to quarantine themselves in their destination for 10 days and concerned local governments need to monitor if they have obeyed the rules.

Meanwhile, a PCR negative report for the coronavirus test done within the last 72 hours is necessary for all the people entering the country.

Those who have not received the complete doses of vaccines should stay in quarantine at any of the several hotels designated by the government for quarantine. Before this, the quarantine period was set for 10 days.

Officials of diplomatic agencies based in Nepal and international agencies and NGOs, as well as their family members, are not required to stay at hotels for quarantine even if they have not received the full doses of the vaccine.
