Kathmandu, November 29
Police on Thursday detained some youth who were staging a protest at Maitighar Mandala against the Asia Pacific Summit that is beginning in Kathmandu on Friday.
Members of the public and stakeholders have been protesting the event as its organiser, Universal Peace Federation, is notorious for forcing people for conversion into a particular group of Christians.
The demonstrators also protested the government inability to investigate into the rape and murder of Nirmala Pant and bring the culprit to book.
The protesters showed placards and chanted slogans against the government and the event.
