Police open fire in Kathmandu to nab burglary suspect

Kathmandu, December 7

Police in Kathmandu say they arrested an absconding burglary suspect from Ratopul of the capital.

The law enforcers had to open fire on Rajan Limbu in a bid to nab him.

A team deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division was searching for Limbu, who was absconding after a burglary case in Itahari of eastern Nepal.

Police say they opened fire after the suspect tried to run away as he saw police. An official of the Division,

Samindra Singh Rathaur, says he was also involved in a recent murder case.

Injured in the incident, Limbu surrendered to police after few minutes.
