One of the prime focuses of Vivo smartphones is its design and Vivo V23 5G features an elegant one. The phone is well-built and features a glass back and a glass front. It has a metal flat frame, which looks beautiful and is comfortable to hold as well.

Vivo V23 5G gets a revamped design compared to the V23e. On the front, it features a notch similar to the ones seen in an iPhone. The back of the phone is fascinating as it features one of a kind colour-changing glass. The rear panel of the phone changes from golden to greenish blue when exposed to sunlight or UV lights.

The phone weighs around 181 grams and is 7.55mm thick. The phone is only available in the sunshine gold variant.

On the front of the phone is a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,080*2,400 pixels. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate while also supporting the HDR10+ feature. These features on the display should be able to produce a good level of details, colours and vibrance for a better viewing experience. There is also an under-display fingerprint sensor on the phone for security.

The front houses a large 50MP selfie shooter along with an 8MP 108 degrees (ultrawide) sensor. There are rarely any smartphones in the market that have a dual camera on the front.

Meanwhile, the phone has 8GB RAM on board with 128GB of internal storage. There is no option to extend the memory as the phone does not offer an SD card slot. However, the RAM storage on the phone can be extended if needed. The phone has an extended RAM 2.0 feature which uses idle internal storage to extend the RAM by up to 4GB.

Vivo V23 5G features a 4200mAh, non-removable li-po battery. The phone features the same 44W fast charger seen on Vivo V23e. Vivo has advertised that this charger can provide 68% battery power in just 30 minutes.

For the audio, Vivo V23 5G has hi-res speakers, but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. However, Vivo provides earphones in the box (which you rarely see these days on a smartphone) that come with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.

Here are the highlights of the main features of the Vivo V23 5G:

  • Eye AF 50MP dual selfie camera
  • Colour changing fluorite AG glass
  • Flat metal aluminium frame
  • Dual-tone spotlight
  • 6nm chipset
  • 44W fast charger
  • Extended RAM technology
  • Android 12
  • Hi-res display and sound

The price of the Vivo V23 5G is Rs 55,999 for 8/128GB and only comes in a single variant.

Verdict

With this pricing, Vivo V23 5G has placed itself in the most difficult category. This premium mid-range features lots of high-selling and popular smartphones. Though Vivo V23 5G itself offers some decent features, it will surely face tough competition from Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Realme smartphones.
