Birgunj, May 13
Two Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment at the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital in Birgunj of Parsa district have ‘run away’ from the isolation ward of the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, says the hospital.
The hospital has mobilised a team to search for them. The chief of the District Police Office, Ganga Panta, says the police have been reported of the incident and further investigation is underway.
Parsa district has the highest number of Covid-19 patients across the country and the Narayani Hospital is the only hospital providing treatment to them. For the lack of sufficient beds, many Covid-19 patients have been deprived of treatment there.
