Nepal Police chief, IGP Sarbendra Khanal, has said that traffic management has seen a lot of improvements in the country in recent times. Speaking at a programme on Sunday, IGP Khanal said that the traffic police were being trained on how to create a system which would help them in the long run.
“Currently, traffic is managed through a system. Our police officials are working with whatever we have to manage the system. I think if you look at past years, traffic management has significantly become better this year,” said IGP Khanal.
Khanal further added that traffic lights were being restored by Nepali engineers and would come in operation soon. He also added that traffic police were motivated to carry out their duty after he proposed to give them additional allowances. He also reiterated the need for proper roads to manage traffic.
