Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar says the government should provide residency facility to lawmakers of the country.
She also views that the legislative body should not hold its meetings in a rented house.
“I wish Parliament had its own building and its own television channel. May the government provide residency facility to all the lawmakers,” she says, “It is our collective wish and efforts are underway to achieve them.”
Launching a new website and a mobile app of Parliament, Gharti, however, maintained that the House would not have its own building before a new Parliament would be elected through federal parliamentary elections before January 2018.
The United Nations Development Programme had provided a support to the Parliament Secretariat to develop the new website and mobile app. The website and app will provide various kinds of information about activities and functions of the legislative.
