Kathmandu, October 10
The Kathmandu District Court has allowed police to keep cricket star Sandeep Lamichhane in custody for the next seven days to investigate a rape charge against him.
As the police presented him before the court on Monday, the court issued the order as demanded by the police.
Lamichhane, who was abroad when the complaint was filed, was arrested at the Kathmandu airport last Thursday.
