The Department of Transport Management has announced that the installation of embossed number plates will be mandatory for all vehicles starting September 17 (Ashoj 1).
Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the department stated that vehicle registration, ownership transfer, and renewal services will only be provided after the mandatory installation of embossed number plates.
The department has urged all vehicle owners to visit their respective transport offices to install the high-security embossed plates.
A subject committee meeting held on August 4 had decided to enforce the mandatory use of embossed number plates beginning September 17.
