Samsung has unveiled the Fan Edition of its flagship tablet series, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and FE+. This release coincided with the launch event of the Samsung Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. The Tab S9 series comprises three tablets: the Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra. The Tab S9 FE made its debut alongside the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE.
Among the two, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE has been launched in Nepal. The S9 FE+ might also be soon launched in Nepal. But let us see what both the tablets offer in terms of specs.

Design and Display
The design of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and FE+ is very similar to the flagship Tab S9 series. The major difference in both tablets is the size and the number of cameras on the back. The S9 FE+ has a dual camera setup whereas the S9 FE has a single camera setup. Except for the cameras, the back is the same which is made up of aluminium and has a matte finish. The frame is also flat and made up of aluminium and has a matte finish. On the front, the bezels on both tablets are quite thick in comparison to the flagship Tab S9 series but are equal in size.
On the display front, the Tab S9 FE has a screen size of 10.9-inch whereas the Tab S9 FE+ has a screen size of 12.4-inch. Both tablets use IPS LCD technology and have a refresh rate of 90Hz. The S9 FE has a resolution of 2,304 x 1,440 pixels delivering about 229 pixel density and the S9 FE+ has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels delivering about 243 pixel density. Both have glass protection on the front and IP68 dust and water resistance.
Performance and Storage
The Samsung Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ share the same chipset, the Exynos 1,380 5G built on a 5nm process. Both tablets feature an octa-core CPU, comprising 4 high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and 4 power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. Mali-G68 MP5 GPU handles the graphics performance on both tablets. Both run on Android 13 with One UI 5.1 operating system.
The Tab S9 FE is available with 6 GB RAM whereas the S9 FE+ is available with 8 GB RAM. Both have one storage option of 128 GB.
Camera
The camera setup of the Samsung Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ are different with the addition of an ultrawide camera on the FE+. For the main camera, both offer an 8 MP lens. The S9 FE+ has another lens of 8MP which takes care of the ultra-wide angle shots. Both tablets support 4K video recording at 30fps and 1,080p video at 30fps. For selfies, both tablets feature a 12 MP front camera.
Accessories
As for the accessories, both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ get a S Pen in the box. Alongside the S Pen, you can separately buy the case and the keyboard as the accessory. They can be useful for quick office work.
Battery and Others
Another major difference between the tablets is the battery. The Samsung Tab S9 FE has an 8,000 mAh battery and the S9 FE+ has some more capacity of 10,090 mAh. For charging both the tablets support 45W wired charger. In terms of connectivity. Both tablets feature Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6 with dual-band support and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connections. The tablets deliver rich audio through stereo speakers which are tuned by AKG. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, providing a convenient unlocking method.
As for the colour, both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 are available in Mint, Silver, Gray, and Lavender options.
As for the price in Nepal, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is official with a price tag of Rs 80,999 for the 6/128GB options whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is not official in Nepal and can be expected around Rs 101,000 for the 8/28GB options.
