2024 OnePlus Pad Go: Mid-range tablet with MediaTek Helio G99 chipset in Nepal

OnePlus has launched its mid-range tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go in Nepal. OnePlus launched the tablet in India in October of 2023 and it has finally reached Nepal. OnePlus has launched three tablets to date; OnePlus Pad Pro, OnePlus Pad and the OnePlus Pad Go. The Pro is the flagship option, the Pad is the premium mid-range option whereas the Pad Go is the mid-range option.

OnePlus tablets have got a decent response when competing with other Android tablets in the same range. The Pad Go will compete in the mid-range price segment against the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 and Xiaomi Pad 6.

Design and Display

The design of the OnePlus Pad Go is similar to the one of the OnePlus Pad. The back is made up of plastic and has the rear camera at the centre of the top portion. It has a dual-tone finish of matte and shiny with a shiny rectangular strip on the top. The OnePlus logo sits in the centre. The curved frame is made up of plastic and has a brushed metal finish.

The front of the OnePlus is simple with equal bezels on all sides. The selfie camera sits hidden on the black bezels. The tablet features an 11.35-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 2408 x 1720. It has a pixel density of 260 PPI and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The touch sampling rate is 180Hz and the colour gamut covers 96% of the NTSC spectrum. The screen-to-body ratio is 86.40%, with a typical contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a typical brightness of 400 nits.

Performance and Storage

The OnePlus Pad Go tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset built on a 6nm process. It has an octa-core CPU with 2 cores running at 2.2 GHz (Cortex-A76) and 6 cores running at 2.0 GHz (Cortex-A55). The GPU is handled by the Mali-G57 MC2. The tablet runs on OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has external storage support of up to 1TB using a MicroSD card.

Camera

The OnePlus Pad Go tablet features an 8MP rear camera that supports EIS stabilization and can record videos at 1080P and 720P at 30fps. The front camera is also 8MP and can record videos at 1080P and 720P at 30fps. The front camera has a face unlock for security.

Battery and Storage

The OnePlus Pad Go tablet is equipped with an 8000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging which is said to give about 514 hours of standby life. For connectivity, the tablet supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) along with 802.11a/b/g/n standards for fast wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 5.2 for seamless connections with other devices. It has LTE support for mobile network access.

The OnePlus Pad Go features a Dolby Atmos quad-speaker system for an immersive audio experience. It includes a range of sensors such as a geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, and hall sensor.

The OnePlus Pad Go is available in one colour option called Twin Mint.

The OnePlus Pad Go is official in Nepal for Rs 39,999 for the available 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
