Redmi Note 11 Pro comes with a fantastic build. It has a glass front, a glass back and a plastic frame. The phone features a trendy flat back, a familiar design seen on the latest Redmi Note 11 series. The back also features a similar camera module seen on the Note 11 series. The plastic frame on the phone is also flat, which can provide a comfortable grip for the users. Furthermore, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone that works as a power button as well. The phone also has IP53 dust and splash-resistant certification.

The phone is 8.10mm thick and weighs around 202 grams. It is available in graphite grey, polar white and star blue colours.

On the front is a 6.67-inch super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,080*2,400 pixels and 395 PPI density. The display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a 360Hz touch sampling rate making the use of the phone smooth and quick. Xiaomi also claims the display can achieve a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits and supports a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. For durability, the display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Cameras

Cameras on Redmi Note 11 Pro have been promoted as a flagship-level imaging system. The phone features a quad-camera setup on the back with a single camera sensor on the front. The large 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 1/1.52″ main camera sensor on the back is accompanied by an 8MP, 118- degrees ultrawide and a couple of 2MP depth and macro sensors. On the front is a 16MP selfie shooter with an f/2.4 aperture.

For the video, both the front and rear cameras can record videos up to 1080p resolution and up to 30fps.

Performance and storage

Redmi Note 11 Pro runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 11. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 (12nm) chipset while the graphical duties are handled by Mali- G57 MC2. The performance might take a hit as Xiaomi seems to have taken a step back when compared to the 5G version of the same phone while having a minimal difference in price. But, to boost performance, the phone also features a liquid cool technology that provides a balance between performance and temperature control.

For the storage, Redmi Note 11 Pro comes with 6GB and 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of internal storage. The user can further expand the storage up to 1TB with a microSD card, but there is not a dedicated slot for it, which means the user has to sacrifice one of the two sim cards used on the phone.

Battery life, connectivity and others

Redmi Note 11 Pro has an identical battery feature to that of its 5G model. The massive 5000mAh, non-removable li-po battery on the phone can be really handy and the inclusion of the 67W turbocharging option only makes it better. The turbocharging feature will get the battery fully charged in just 42 minutes. When in a rush, 15 minutes of charge can provide up to 50 per cent of the battery that lasts a whole day under normal use.

The connectivity options on the phone include support of two sims with up to 4G network support. It also supports dual-band WiFi, is NFC enabled and has Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless pairing with other devices. There is a USB Type-C 2.0 cable on the phone for charging and connecting the phone with other devices. For the audio, the phone has dual speakers with Hi-res Audio certification. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.

Notable features of Redmi Note 11 Pro are:

  • 6.67 Super AMOLED display
  • Flat frame design
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • 360Hz touch sampling rate
  • 108MP quad-camera set up
  • 16MP selfie camera sensor
  • 5,000 mAh battery backup
  • 67W turbo charging
  • Liquid cool technology
  • Dual speakers with Hi-Res certification

The price of Redmi Note 11 Pro is Rs 34,999 for 6/128GB and Rs 36,999 for 8/128GB variants.

Verdict

The pricing seems a bit aggressive as the 5G variant of the same model is clearly a better option than this one and also the price difference between the two models is not so huge. The Pro model may have one less camera sensor, but it offers a better-performing chipset and support a 5G network. Also, Realme 9, which falls in the same price category, will definitely give it a hard time as it definitely provides all the features with the Redmi Note 11 Pro is providing and may even better it in terms of performance.
