Kathmandu, April 7
The Nawalpur District Court also sent rape-accused actor Paul Shah to judicial custody until the final verdict on the case.
Earlier, the Tanahun District Court had also made a similar order, and hence Shah is in the Tanahun District Prison.
A single bench of District Judge Arjun Adhikari issued the order on Wednesday.
Dissatisfied with the Tanahun court’s order, Shah has filed an appeal for release on bail at the Pokhara High Court. The court has recently summoned the district court to submit the files related to the case but has yet to give its final decision.
Paul Shah has been accused of repeatedly raping a minor, who is also an aspiring singer, in different districts of the country. The alleged survivor’s father has filed separate complaints in Tanahun and Nawalpur districts.
