Kathmandu, March 27

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been hospitalised on Friday morning. Sources close to the prime minister say he was taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after he experienced some irregular heartbeats last night.

The heartbeats have turned back to normalcy by now, the sources claim.

Oli had had his second kidney transplantation on March 4. He was discharged from the hospital after around 10 days, and the doctors had advised him to avoid any meeting, gathering, and events for the next few months.

Oli, however, has been disobeying the advice. Earlier this week, he had spent around four hours with other members of the Cabinet during a Cabinet meeting. The doctors looking after him claim that Oli’s lack of rest resulted in the irregular heart movements now.
