Kathmandu, December 5
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal says the government will summon the next session of Federal Parliament only after the ongoing construction of new Parliament building will be over.
Dhakal says the construction will be over by the third week of December; hence the new session will be called around the same time.
The Minister’s statement comes at a time when opposition parties are pressing the government to summon the session at the earliest.
Speaking at a function in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Dhakal also claimed that the government was expediting the process of amending laws that contradicted the constitution.
Likewise, the government had prioritised formulating laws to implement fundamental rights listed in the constitution, according to him.
