Parliament on Sunday endorsed two bills related to facilities and benefits to be provided to justices and judges.

The first bill deals with the benefits of justices at the Supreme Court whereas the second bill has provisions on facilities to be provided to judges of high and district courts.

Speaking at the meeting before the endorsement, lawmakers had raised concerns over increasing corruption in the judiciary and said the new laws should address the problem and make justice all-accessible.

Meanwhile, the meeting also endorsed the National Women Commission Bill with a revision.

Meanwhile, chiefs of Legislation Committee and Social Justice and  Human Rights Committee–Ganga Chaudhary Satgauwa and Sushil Kumar Shrestha respectively–presented annual reports of the panels.

The House shall meet next on Tuesday.
