Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts share about 27 kilometres of ring road, which is being widened in different sections. The Koteshwar–Kalanki section was expanded in the first phase. Now, the stretch from Ekantakuna to Balkhu, part of that same section, has turned notably green, with trees and plants making the road attractive.
The wide road is lined with trees and flowers on either side, and with the current monsoon season, the area looks even cleaner than usual.
