Govt scraps Gezhouba’s Jajarkot project survey licence after renewal delay

Kathmandu, July 5

The government of Nepal has scrapped the licence given to China Gezhouba Group Company issued for the survey of Dandagaun-Khalanga-Bheri Hydropower Project in Jajarkot district.

The Department of Electricity Development scrapped the licence after the company failed to renew it on time.

The department’s spokesperson Nisha Rijal says the scrapping follows a government policy.

The department informs that the company was reporting updates to the department till March this year.

The survey licence had expired on April 22.

The company had acquired the licence to conduct a survey for the 128 megawatt project.
