The former prime minister and the federal council chairperson of Samajwadi Party, Baburam Bhattarai, has been hospitalised on Wednesday evening. He went to the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre in Bansbari of Kathmandu after experiencing backache.

The party’s publicity department’s deputy chief Bishwadeep Pandey says the leader’s condition is currently normal. It is likely that he will be discharged by the evening.

“We did all the tests after suspecting some blockage in the blood circulation. But, all the reports are normal,” Pandey says.
