The Yadea G6 electric scooter has been launched in Nepal. The Chinese Electric manufacturer has quite a share of models in the electric model range in Nepal. The electric scooter has also won the 2020 Red Dot Design Award for the futuristic and sleek looks it has. The electric scooter has many features and Yadea’s in-house battery technology.

The electric scooter market has risen significantly ever since the rise of the fuel prices. Yadea has been a tough competitor in the electric scooter market in Nepal. The G6 will compete against other electric scooters in the same price range like the NIU GOVA 03, Segway N100, Super Soco CuX and Pure EV Etrance Neo.

Design

The Yadea G6 has a similar design to the Yadea C1S. The front includes a similar LED headlight with LED DRLs and the Yadea logo in the middle. The LED indicators are integrated just below the handlebars which are bright. The front of the electric scooter is big and has a road presence and can turn heads with the orange accents it has all over.

With a ground clearance of 170mm, the Yadea G6 can easily tackle brought by roads inside the city. The side looks large with the huge 30-litre boot space under the seat. The seat is single-piece and has comfort and the pillion gets a single-piece grab handle to hold on.

The rear of the Yadea G6 includes the LED taillamp shaped in the Yadea logo, whereas the rear LED indicators are just below the taillamp. The electric scooter gets a digital display which shows the necessary information while riding like the speed, battery left, time, indicators, ready and distance travelled.

Performance

The Yadea G6 is a powerful electric scooter equipped with the third generation TTFAR motor with a rated power of 2000 watts and a peak power of 3000 watts. This motor delivers a nice performance with a peak torque of 149 Nm. It uses graphene battery technology and has a battery capacity of 38Ah and a voltage of 72V offering a range of up to 150 kilometres on a single charge. Charging the electric scooter takes around 6-7 hours for a full charge.

In terms of handling and comfort, the Yadea G6 has 12-inch aluminium wheels and tyre size of 90/90-12 at the front and 100/80-12 at the rear. The Yadea G6 has a top speed of 60 km/h which is enough for city cruising. As for braking, it has disc brakes on both the front and the rear. The suspension system is handled with a dual hydraulic system which handles bumps and difficult roads quite well.

The Yadea G6 also has regenerative braking which allows for energy recovery giving an advantage of being electric. The battery when low also has a smart system which allows the rider to cruise at a speed of 3-5 Km/h when the battery is in low power.
