Kathmandu, March 15
At the Parliament meeting on Wednesday, UDMF lawmaker Mahendra Raya Yadav announced the withdrawal of UDMF support to the Prachanda government.
He said UDMF will formally inform Speaker Onsari Gharti about this move. He pointed that they withdrew support to the government due to non-implementation of a three-point understanding reached with the government in course of its formation.
At the meeting, lawmaker Ram Krishna Yadav asked the government to be serious about conducting elections by amending the Constitution amendment proposal. Yadav said he will boycott Wednesday’s House meeting. With this announcement, lawmakers from UDMF constituents left the meeting.
At the meeting, lawmakers Revati Raman Bhandari, Prem Suwal and Lok Mani Dhakal, among others, drew the Parliament’s attention towards contemporary issues.
